Fotokomórki stosuje się jako zabezpieczenie każdej bramy. Sam napęd nawet najlepiej dopasowany nie zapewnia bezpieczeństwa osobom, zwierzętom oraz pojazdom znajdującym się w obszarze bramy. Moduł nadawczy zasilany jest tanimi i ogólnodostępnymi bateriami 2 x AA 1,5V lub alternatywnie można go zasilić 12/24VAC/DC.
